The Shepherd’s Center of Fairfax-Burke (SCFB), founded in 2006, is a nonprofit organization made up of individuals, faith communities, civic organizations, and businesses committed to supporting and enriching the lives of older adults in the Fairfax-Burke community. The Center provides life enrichment opportunities and life support services for older adults so they can continue to live independently and to live with a sense of purpose and dignity. All of the Center’s programs are planned and executed by volunteers. SCFB empowers its volunteers to use their talents and skills to help their peers in the community.

Durga Temple was the first temple of Bhagwati Durgaji built in the United States. This temple is the place of worship for people of all Hindu faiths. Deities in this temple include Durgaji, Shiv-Parivar, Shri Radha-Krishna, Ram darbar, Hanumanji, Lakshmi-Narayanji, Balaji, Shri Mahavirji, Shri Jhulelalji, Shri Shridi Saibaba and Maa Santoshi. The priests provide religious services at the temple and outside locations. All major Hindu festivals are celebrated. The temple holds a variety of educational cultural activities.

Virginia Korean Baptist Church members participate in a variety of programs, including Bible College, missionary work and service hours.  The church offers a Korean-language school to members.
