Aging, Disability and Caregiver Resources: Info, education and referrals for older adults, those with disabilities and caregivers. This agency can help you find care services, health insurance counseling, alcohol and drug services, employment, legal services, low income housing and more.

Community Service Board: This easy-to-use fact sheet tells you who to contact for a mental health crisis, emergency, and how to get help for you or one you love.

Crisis Link: Partnered with national and state suicide prevention services, Crisis Link share information about suicide and prevent, and provides a 24/7 crisis hotline.

disAbilityNavigator: Provides service information and educational materials for individuals with disabilities and their families. Covers Northern Virginia and Richmond.

Disability Services: Legislation and programs for disabled in Fairfax County.

Elder Link: A list of additional tools for seniors and disabled individuals in Fairfax County.

Family Services: Offers volunteer opportunities and employment tools for Fairfax residents. See also: Child care, food stamps, Medicaid and more.

Health Department: County health information, including releases on fighting the flu season, food recalls, HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness and other issues.

Human Services: Provides health care and housing assistance, temporary family aid, recreation for people with disabilities and more.

Senior Centers In and Around Fairfax…

Fairfax County residents age 55 and over are welcome at any of these centers and programs for older adults. The county offers a variety of leisure enrichment classes, health and wellness programs, computer/internet access, trips, special events, and so many ways to have fun.
